I watched a Super Cub Hover above Paskapoo in Calgary, Steady 50mph winds and an upslope on the hill meant he could firwall the throttle and still be absolutely hovering in the same spot over the ground. I watched him for 40 minutes balance the Cubbie on the right spot over the hill and hover and then banking gently away pushed downwind and then turning back into the wind fighting to the spot that gave him perfect equilibrium. It was one hell of a windy day and he made the most of it...Hovering a Piper Cub
